Potential Pathways for You to Earn Your Degree

  • Transfer credits from previous University with of 100 credits out of a total 180 needed for BSACS at CityU *(Maximum of 135 credits can be transferred from any institution ; 90 lower and 45 upper division).
  • Successfully course challenge using previous belt assignments for up to 4 courses (20 credits).
  • The Coding Dojo graduate now has 120 out of the 180 credits needed to graduate with BSACS = 12 Classes remaining at CityU.
  • Course waivers applied from Coding Dojo waive 3 core courses, student can select 3 specialty courses from School of Technology or School of Business that they want.

Waiver Courses

Students who complete the specified CD module are eligible to waive the CityU course. A course waiver does not grant academic credit; it eliminates the need to take the specified course for degree completion.

Challenge Courses

The Coding Dojo modules listed below provide students with knowledge that may enable them to earn credit in lieu of taking the listed course by completing a course challenge at CityU. Students may identify additional courses from previous studies that they believe provide them with the knowledge necessary to challenge additional courses on their program plan. Students may attempt a maximum of 25% of the total credits required to graduate from the program of student. Course challenges are graded on a Pass/No Pass basis. If the challenge receives a passing grade, equivalent to 2.0 or above for undergraduate, or 3.0 or above for graduate/doctoral courses, the course is recorded on the transcript as a CityU transfer credit.

Paul Schindler has been with the CityU team since 2021. He received his Bachelors from UC Davis in Economics and MS in Educational Counseling from CSUS. He comes from a diverse background of Bio-tech, Software and Higher Education program administration with a focus on business development, investor relations, and relationship management.

Paul currently works with various corporate and association partnerships to deliver programs that benefit the unique advantages of a CityU education and the corporate field.
